Dear Pop,

So I’m sure you already know, but I had a huge breakthrough in my career this past week.  I’m finally going to make films.

I signed to The Gersh Agency! Upon meeting them, I had the same feeling in my heart that I did when you put Jamie in my life. I could trust them. You and my mom always taught me to follow my heart and though some decisions might be tougher than others, scarier than others…they must be made.

They recognized my ability as a storyteller and seemed to like me as a person as well.  The meeting went very well and when I walked out of their office I felt the page turn to a new chapter.

This chapter is called, “Day 1 of……………………..”

From now on, all my narratives will exceed 5 minutes. No one telling me, “it’s too long”…though I’m sure I’ll find a way. lol.

Honestly pop, there’s not much to say right now. I’m just happy. Happy to start this journey, eager to be a student, delighted to have this opportunity, and did I mention happy? haha.

I love you pop. I can always count on you. I’m going to make you PRRROOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUD!

P.S. If you’re reading this mom, don’t be jealous. You’re my #1 girl. While you’re traveling the world, have a glass of the finest wine. Pretend I’m there and have a toast with me to our future. 20XII…the year I officially step in front of the camera and make Paris my second home- literally. With good strategy and prayer, my team and I made great moves in 2011 to expand my brand beyond music videos (I still love making them though).  We linked up with a few great friends in Europe that are expanding my brand worldwide, developed and shot a TV show (Can’t say what yet), and ventured into the world of branding and Major League Baseball, making Dodgers All-Star, Matt Kemp my first promising client. You’ll still see my name appear on music videos in 2012, but it will also be popping up a few other places.  My team and I are extremely excited and I currently thank God every 5 minutes (seriously). To all our team’s amazing minds: Matt Alonzo, Mr. Boomtown, David Gallardo, Mike Ho, and my newest director signing, Teyana Taylor aka (MJ_TPK)… you’re going to do amazing things. I have no doubt about it. I’ve learned from all of you this year- and not just on a MV tip.

I spent a great deal of 2011 looking for an outlet.  I used yelling, sleep, meditation, forgiving, and art amongst other things to give me the release that I needed.  A few times, my spirits fell flat and I had to remind myself that even my career was apart of the bigger picture- life.

I felt 18 all over again.

Remembering that hope, hard work, and accepting and embracing failure just as much as success is all apart of the recipe…to being able to say that you’re actually evolving, painting your own picture, writing your own script.

I guess we’ll never stop learning about ourselves- our strengths, weaknesses, what we like and don’t like, what we’re capable of, and that no matter what, the fact that someone out there loves us unconditionally can empower and lift us as people to unimaginable heights.

Pulling from all these things this year has pushed me to the front of the line. It’s my time as it’s always been. Tomorrow isn’t just another shoot for me.  It places me in front of an audience that I’ve longed to have experience me as an artist.  The world of Fashion.

The timing is amazing…and I couldn’t be happier at this very moment.

I talked to God…and he listened. Watch this Mom and Dad. The next chapter in your son’s life has arrived. I’m going to make you proud. Ahhhhhh…The Stansberry’s have arrived. *Closes eyes*
